Operation

Dustan's big day was Thursday. We arrived at the hospital a few minutes early, and got the paperwork done rather quickly. By 11:00 they took him back to be prepped for surgery. Then came the long wait. His suregery was scheduled for noon, but we were waiting on the doctor and the op nurse to show up. Wherever they were.... it was 1:15pm when they finally took him to get his knee done. So, all in all, I suppose an hour isn't terribly long to wait, but it is when anticipating being miserable!

I waited around until the doc came out at 2:30 to say it all went well and Dustan was put in a cast. And then I waited some more until he was out of his ansthesia and for the discharge papers. We were home by 5 and got settled in. The kids thought the cast was cool. Daddy definately does not hold the same opinion.
